The AU men's basketball team will learn of its NCAA Tournament first round opponent and date this Sunday, March 16, during the CBS Selection Show at 6 p.m.
 
 
AU Selection Show Viewing Party to be Held at The Tavern this Sunday, March 16

WASHINGTON - American University is inviting fans to celebrate the men's basketball team's first trip to the Division I NCAA Tournament at the AU Selection Show Viewing Party in The Tavern at the Mary Graydon Student Center adjacent to the main quad on campus this Sunday, March 16, beginning at 5:30 p.m. At the event, the Eagles will find out their NCAA Tournament First Round opponent, game date, and location during the NCAA Selection Show on CBS starting at 6 p.m.

"It's an incredibly exciting time for the entire American University community," said Head Coach Jeff Jones following his team's Patriot League Championship victory over the Colgate Raiders. "We are thrilled to share the excitement with our team as the NCAA Tournament pairings are announced on Selection Sunday."

Those attending Selection Sunday festivities at American include; President Neil Kerwin, Head Coach Jeff Jones and his Eagles team, the AU Pep Band, cheerleaders and mascot Clawed. Food will be available for sale as fans in attendance watch the show on a large projection screen.
